"I feel like I’ve been waiting all my life for this moment.”

The Origins

A platform
beneath the city.

Lex Yard takes its name from Lexington Avenue and the underground train depot — Track 61 — running directly beneath the Waldorf Astoria. Over the years, the platform carried dignitaries and distinguished guests quietly away from the city's gaze. The story passed in whispers, not headlines.

Legend has it, Andy Warhold knew it well. Track 61 became a gathering place for his inner circle — late-night happenings, underground events, the kind of evenings that existed outside ordinary time. Warhol understood that the best rooms are the ones the world doesn't quite see. The ones where people come back, again and again, because something about them feels like home.

That's what we're building at Lex Yard. Not a restaurant you visit — a room you return to. Your living room on Lexington. The place your table is always waiting, where the bartender knows your drink and the evening unfolds at your pace. Come for the food. Stay because it feels like yours.

The Bar Room is where the day finds its rhythm. Jeff Bell's cocktail program — rooted in classic technique, alive with what's in season — pairs with Chef Anthony's à la carte menu in a setting of blush banquettes and Art Deco warmth. Walk-ins welcome, late seatings encouraged.
